In the current economic environment, taxes on pensions have been increasing at many levels. This is the case whether pensions have yet to be drawn down (in form of the "temporary" levy) or where pensions have been transferred to ARF's, or PRSA's. With our clients we continue to explore a number of opportunities with a view to minimising or eliminating the impact of some of these changes. We have worked closely with a number of counterparts in other jurisdictions to avail of opportunities to transfer pensions in a tax efficient manner.
